Unlock Comfort & Privacy: The Benefits of Car Window Tinting

Many car owners prefer car window tinting to have more privacy and protection. It not only aids in this but also increases comfort. So what is window tinting, and how does it ensure protection and comfort? Let us delve into this and discover the benefits of tinted windows.

Car window tinting is a process of applying a thin film to cars’ windows. These films are tinted and block the UV rays from entering the inside of the vehicle. As a result, they keep you and your passengers protected from harmful radiations of the sun, while also reducing the glare. This makes you ride comfortably. They decrease the visibility of inside from outside; ensuring better security.

Additionally, it increases the aesthetic appeal of the car and improves the overall driving experience. Here are some more benefits, discussed in detail:

Benefits Of Ceramic Window Tint

Protection from Harmful UV Rays

Sunlight’s UV radiation can be dangerous. These rays can lead to skin cancer, vision issues, and early aging. Car window tinting may prevent up to 99% of these harmful rays. Hence, protecting you and your passengers’ health. In addition, it prevents fading and damage to your car’s interior due to sun exposure.

Enhanced Privacy and Security

Privacy is one of the main advantages of car window tinting. It hinders the ability of strangers to look into your vehicle. As a result, you can safeguard your personal space and reduce the possibility of theft or damage. It also deters break-ins and makes it harder for burglars to view valuables inside your car.

Temperature Regulation

Window tinting shields the vehicle’s interior from intense heat and helps avoid an uncomfortable ride. Since it covers the UV rays, it reduces heat throughout the summer.

Glare Reduction

Additionally, window tinting lessens glare from headlights or the sun, which may be quite distracting when driving. This improves visibility and reduces eye strain. As a result, it helps you focus on the road.

Shatter Resistance

In an accident or collision, window tinting adds extra protection. It keeps the shattered glass from scattering, which helps prevent injuries. This safety element gives you peace of mind while driving with your loved ones.

Energy Efficiency

It reduces the need for air conditioning by keeping the interior cool. As a result of less air conditioning, you save money on gas. It also minimizes strain on your car’s cooling system, which makes it last longer and decreases your maintenance cost.

How to black out Car Windows

Step 1: Preparing Windows for tint

To begin, look for a dry-clean area to work. Make sure to remove any stickers or adhesives that may have been applied to the glass. Then clean the windows with an automotive window cleaner. Make sure to roll down the windows slightly; to clean around the edges. Furthermore, dry the window using a dry towel and wipe against the edges and seals to remove moisture. Roll the window back up and dry any remaining moisture. Finally, apply the soapy water mixture to the windows using a spray bottle.

Step 2: Preparing the tint

Roll out the tint with the protective backing over the wet window, leaving 2–3 inches extra around all edges. Spray water on the outside of the tint to create a thin layer. Use a sharp knife to cleanly cut the tint along the bottom and left edges of the window, getting as close to the edge as possible. Adjust the tint to fit correctly, and clean up any rough edges or odd shapes.

Step 3: Applying the tint

Spray the inside of the glass with soapy water. Carefully remove the cut tint from the outside of the glass. Peel off the protective liner from the tint to expose the adhesive, spraying it with soapy water. Line up the tint with the window, tucking it just below the bottom seal. Use a squeegee to push out the soapy water and bubbles, being careful not to move the tint. Repeat this process for all windows.

Car Tint Permit in Pakistan

Tinted glass permits in Pakistan have been a growing trend for both security and skin protection since the last decade. However, the Interior Ministry took action by banning tint permits back in 2013. Despite the government’s efforts to curb fake permits, many individuals still claim to possess them.

The Ministry clarified that no permits have been issued since 2013. Additionally, permits based on medical grounds are also invalid, as no department is responsible for their issuance. According to the law, only law enforcement officials and vehicle owners registered under the name of a public office holder or belonging to an autonomous institution are eligible for permits. Under these circumstances, only the home secretary can issue the permit, not the Deputy Commissioner (DC).

Car window tinting offers a multitude of benefits that go beyond mere aesthetics. It protects your health and privacy, adds comfort, and preserves your vehicle. It’s a valuable investment for any car owner.
